Welcome back to Lyric Hi-Fi, Inc.!

All of us at Lyric Hi-Fi, Inc. hope that you all have been healthy and getting through these new and strange times. We at Lyric have been doing what we can to maintain our current clients’ wi-fi networks and AV systems, as we all have hunkered down in the past few months. Many of you have been home binge-watching Netflix as well as rediscovering your old music collection on older AV systems, and spending more time at home with your loved ones. Now is the time to treat yourselves (and your family,) to that new piece of audio gear and/or that big screen TV.

We are pleased to announce that Lyric is now back to selling, delivering, and installing new entertainment systems throughout the tri-state region, while coping with the new reality of wearing masks, sanitizing equipment and social-distancing.  We will be carefully demonstrating equipment in store on an appointment basis only under safe conditions. Please call now to schedule an appointment to hear some of the finest AV equipment available in New York.  Now is the time to buy that record player, CD player, or those better speakers you always wanted. Get the family together to watch the latest releases from Netflix on that new TV in glorious surround sound.  Sit back, relax, and let your friends at Lyric help you make the right choices and improve your system while you sit back, relax and enjoy your family!

Warmest Regards,
Leonard Bellezza, President

Covid-19 Update

Saturday March 21 2020

To all of our Valued Clients:

  1. As of today, March 21, 2020, Lyric Hi-Fi, Inc’s NYC showroom will be closed temporarily to client visits due to precautions taken to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19. This will be in effect for as long as required by current conditions. Please understand that Lyric Hi-Fi is NOT closing permanently!!
  2. Our phone lines will remain open and we will attempt to provide limited service remotely if possible. If a problem can be handled easily, such as with a simple phone call to walk the client through a problem with the operation of their system, then we will make every attempt to do so.  Clients will be asked for their credit card information over the phone and will be billed at our standard labor rate of $175.00 per hour/per man, with a minimum 1/2hr charge.
  3. For any new sales, purchases, service calls or open invoice payments, Lyric will accept charge card payments over the phone. To make your purchase easier, we will provide FREE doorstep or doorman delivery on a case-by-case basis within a 50 mile radius of our NYC location.
  4. When possible, and on a case-by-case basis, Lyric will open the showroom by appointment for an audition of a component or system. These are EXTRAORDINARY TIMES and we are all adjusting to the day-to-day changes in our environment.  Please feel free to call (212-439-1900) or email (lenny@lyricusa.com) with any questions or concerns, and I will be happy to help you.
  5. It is Lyric’s intention to re-open our showroom as soon as conditions permit. We wish to continue our 61 years of history and remain the pre-eminent high-end Audio/Video store in NYC for years to come.

Wilsons Have It All

Wilson SophiaDoes Wilson Make The World’s Best Speakers? Many Think So.

WAMM, WHOW, Grand SLAMM! It’s enough to make you wonder WATT in blazes is happening?

No, this isn’t a discourse on pop art paintings that resemble blown up comic book panels. It’s an introduction to the venerated loudspeakers from Wilson Audio. Company founder Dave Wilson used those terms for model designations.

They’re a bit misleading since Wilson speakers deliver far more than the blunt-force bass they imply. Dynamic power, always a Wilson hallmark, is just one reason audiophiles revere the brand. Countless Wilson devotees will tell you, without hesitation, that these speakers have it all.

We heartily agree. Wilsons are forcefully dynamic yet highly detailed, fast and distortion-free, exceptionally transparent with true-to-life timbre, and as spatially correct as any loudspeaker has ever been.

This Is Vinyl’s Golden Era

Hear Today’s Super-Fi LPs Outdo The Originals — On An Affordable Rega Turntable

MusicMattersIn an era increasingly associated with digital devices, the renaissance of analogue recordings and turntables made to play them has amazed many observers. While some attribute the phenomenon to nostalgia, we know it occurred because music on vinyl, always marvelous, sounds better than ever.

Many of the industry’s classic albums have been remastered and pressed on heavy, high grade vinyl, which is vastly superior to the commercial grade. These new records sound substantially better than the originals — provided, that is, you play them on a high quality turntable.

Though Lyric was one of the first American audio stores to offer CD players, we never stopped recommending turntables to our audiophile clients. These days, given the proliferation of remastered, super-fi LPs, we once again see the turntable as essential to every home music system.

Whether you’re a first-time buyer, a serious listener on a budget, or a veteran audiophile in search of a top-echelon model, we have your turntable.
